# Continue Checkout (buyer)

> What a session's continue_url opens: the buyer's way to pay, with no credential

# Continue Checkout (buyer)

This is the URL behind a session's `continue_url`. **You don't call it: your buyer opens it in a browser.** It takes no API key and no Gomry sign-in; the signed `t` parameter in `continue_url` is the authority, and it opens only that one session.

Always copy `continue_url` exactly as the session returned it. A URL built by hand, or with another session's `t`, opens Gomry's home page instead.

## Query Parameters

<ParamField query="t" type="string" required>
  The signed token from `continue_url`. Valid for 24 hours.
</ParamField>

## Response

Always a `303` redirect, because the reader is a person:

| Session | Redirects to |
| - | - |
| Payable | The payment page for exactly the session total (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay), prefilled with the buyer's email. Made on first open, reused after. |
| Already paid | The buyer's ticket page (`order.permalink_url`). |
| Expired, canceled, sold out, or the price moved | The event page, where the buyer can still buy normally. |

When the buyer pays, the tickets are issued and the session reports `completed`. Poll [Get Checkout Session](/api-reference/checkout-sessions/get-checkout-session) to know. If you want the payment page's own URL and expiry instead, see [Create Payment Link](/api-reference/checkout-sessions/create-payment-link).
