# Get Organization

> Retrieve the organization your API key belongs to, and the key's scopes

# Get Organization

Returns the organization the API key belongs to and the scopes the key holds. It needs no scope, only a valid key, so it is the simplest way to check that a key works and to see which scopes it has before a request answers `403 insufficient_scope`. Integration platforms such as Zapier call it to test a connection and to label it with your organization's name.
